NEW OSCAR WINNERS!

CONGRATULATIONS to the new group of winners! You all had a fantastic day in court!










Let's remember some of the key language we used:

Discussing court cases:
The evidence clearly shows....
I am sure that you will find my client innocent.
The facts of the case are clear.
I'm not certain he's guilty because.....
There should be no doubt in your minds that this man is guilty.
I am confident that you will find the defendant guilty.
You can look at it in two ways.
I will bring witnesses to confirm that....
I believe he's innocent because...
It's clear to me that....

Vocabulary:
EVIDENCE: There is evidence to prove the man guilty.
CASE: The facts of the case are clear.
CHARGE WITH: He is charged with murder.
FRAUD: The fraid was committed when she pretended to the bank she could take the money.
JUVENILE: The juvenile will be let go when he turns 18.
OFFENDER: The offender has a long tradition of anti-social behaviour.
INVESTIGATE: The police will investigate how Sally may have stolen the money.
FALSE PRETENCES: She took the money under false pretences.
